In fact, 7.6 lakh audio CD’s for ‘Komaram Puli’ is a truly amazing feat.
‘Komaram Puli’s first bunch audio CDs and cassettes hit the market yesterday and all were sold out completely across the state (exception of few minor centers).
Sony BMG Company released ‘Komaram Puli’ audio CDs into the market with a total of 7.60 Lakhs in its first bunch, which is an all time record of Telugu movies.
Considering the current piracy, coupled with the free available songs in the Internet 7.6 lakh audio CD’s sell out in a single day is something great. Moreover, a total of 13 to 15 Lakhs of audio CDs are expected to be sold out in the full run. And if that takes place, then it will be another Telugu film industry record.

Aamir Khan’s biggest hit in Indian Cinema Industry 3 Idiots, is finally getting ready to scorch the South Indian screens. Gemini film circuit has bought the South Indian remake rights of 3 Idiots for a whopping price and they have been waiting all these days to put the project in the right hands.
They succeeded in getting the consent of South India’s best commercial director Shankar to remake this project, is what news circles say. The official confirmation is not out yet, but this will be a bilingual in Telugu and Tamil. A star hero will play the role of Aamir Khan in this remake. Stay tuned for further details.

The shooting of ‘Brindavanam’ involving NTR, Samantha and few other artists is currently happening at Vikarabad forests. This is to be followed by a family song from tomorrow involving the entire cast including Kota Srinivasa Rao, who is also playing an important role in this film. But now it has been postponed due to the death of his son Kota Prasad. As per the schedule time, the unit has to complete the entire shooting except a song by July 10th. So there could be some delay in the film’s release as well, which is otherwise expected in August. ‘Brindavanam’ is taking shape under Vamsi Paidipalli’s direction and Dil Raju’s production.

Telugu version ‘L-Board’ of Mumaith Khan’s ‘Love Dot Com’ (Hindi) is planning to release the audio by this week end and the film on June 25th. J Yuvaraj who is bringing this film to Telugu audience under RJ Films claims this film as romantic action thriller. There are altogether four songs in the film and Bappi Lahari composed the music. The dialogues and lyrics are penned by Bharathibabu. Screenplay and direction was handled by M Vinod.

Dinesh Babu is planning to bring Rajendra Prasad and Suhasini Maniratnam together to play as a lead pair in his new film that is yet to be titled. According to the director Dr Rajendra Prasad will essay the role of an income-tax officer, while Suhasini, a bank manager. This is a family entertainer to be produced by Jonnada Ramamurthy under Usha Charan Creations banner. ES Murthy will compose the music. The film is likely to kick off soon. The remaining important cast includes Naresh, Kaveri Jha, Raghu Babu, Harshavardhan, Shilpa, Jhansi, Rajitha, etc.

Finally T20 winner is Nag Kings. After a tough fight with Venky Warriors, Nag Kings won the match scoring 89 runs with just a single wicket loss. Akhil Akkineni did great wonder by scoring many fours and sixes. Venky Warriors scored 88 runs in 10 overs (the match is minimized to 10 overs from 20 due to time constraint) and Nag Kings bet that mark within 9 overs. The last two fours for Nag Kings team were scored by Khayyum (comedian Ali’s brother) who proved his talent in playing cricket wonderfully.

The much awaited flick of Mani ratnam’s Telugu version Villian/Raavanan. This film’s rights have been sold at a price of Rs 350 Crores. There are expectations that this film will do business up to Rs 550 Crores. After the release of the film, Mani ratnam will not have rights over the story and any other things connected with this film. This is the first time, such an agreement has been made for a Mani ratnam film. The whole rights have been acquired by Reliance and Sony. Since Mani ratnam, A R Rahman, Vikram, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Rasool Pookutty are internationally recognized, this film Raavanan has created this expectations.

Gautham, son of popular comedian Brahmanandam, is playing the hero again in a movie by introducing Kalyan Manthena as director. The movie is being presented by Tulasi and produced by Maheswara Rao on the banner of Movie Miracles. Director Kalyan says, ‘The film is a romantic action entertainer with college in its backdrop. Gautham is playing a happy and energetic role in this movie. The chracterisation of the hero would be very entertaining and attract all classes of audiences. Sambhavi is playing the female lead.’ Producer Maheswara Rao says, ‘We are presently shooting the climax scenes. Some action scenes are now shot under the action choreography of Ram-Laxman. The third schedule is planned in Vizag from June 5.’ Brahmanandam, Devan, Sayaji Shinde, Jeeva, Venumadhav, Master Bharat, Raghubabu, Srinivasa Reddy, Pragati, Surekhavani and others are in the cast. Mahesh Shankar of ‘Vennela’-fame is scoring music for the movie, while cinematography is by Satish Mutyala.

Actor, Sai Kumar known for his great voice and acting skills is launching his son, Aadi as a hero in Telugu film industry. However, Sai Kumar is not launching him on a grand scale. Even the makers of the film did not mention him as Sai Kumar’s son.

It is reported to our viewers that Atchi Reddy is producing a new film by launching a new banner, ‘Max India Productions’. K.Vijay Bhaskar will direct this film. Sai Kumar and his father, PJ Sharma did numerous films and proved their mettle. Now, it seems to be the turn of Aadi to prove his acting skills.
