The film circles were busy speculating who would play the role of the extremely traditional character in his upcoming remake of the film ‘Love Aaj Kal’. First they said it was going to be Richa Gangopadhyay, but now they talk about Kriti Kharbanda.
Kriti Kharabanda debuted in an otherwise flop film ‘Boni’, opposite Sumanth. She didn’t do any more films after that one. But her innocent looks did catch the attention of many, and it seems Jayanth Paranji and Pawan Kalyan are impressed with her too!
If all goes well for Kriti she will believe that it is a prefer re-launch for her career which didn’t make quite a ‘boni’ with ‘Boni’. Keep watching this space for more news on this issue!

SS Rajamouli said, “Rayalaseema is known for factionism and violence. But is also known for hospitality. Maryada Ramanna is about a man who is torn with his two extremities of factionism and hospitality. I am going to narrate the story point here. Hero’s father and villain’s brother kill each other (in flashback). Villain is in village looking out for hero to return so that he could kill him. Hero is unaware about the flashback and whales away his time in town. One day, hero comes to village and stay in villain’s home. Villain initially doesn’t know that he is the same guy he was looking for. Villain is great at hospitality. He decides that he would honor hero as long as he stays in his house and hunt him down as soon as he steps out. The rest of the story is about what happens when hero comes to know about it (interval bang). I am excited with the story of the movie. There is neither violence nor vulgarity in this movie. I liked Saloni’s work in Magadheera and cast her as full-fledged heroine in Maryada Ramanna. Sunil initially didn’t believe when I asked him to act in my movie. I asked him to become fit and he took it too seriously to lose loads of weight. She can act without using glycerine. Nagineedu who works in Prasad Labs is doing the role of villain in this movie. He did a Tamil movie and I am spellbound with his performance in that movie. Though there are no fights, we roped in Peter Heins because lot of thread-work is involved. Art director Ravinder did a fabulous job of erecting natural looking house set for the villain. MM Keeravani composed another chartbuster song for this movie in the form of ‘Telugammai’. This song will become hugely popular like the farewell song of Student No.1. My elder cousin Kanchi is providing a story for me for the first time. Shobu Yarlagadda gave me the advance when I was working for Student No.1. He is the most comfortable producer to work with and I can discuss anything with him.”

Nagineedu said, “I am born and brought up in Rayalaseema and Rayalaseema is known for the hospitality. Maryada Ramanna is going to be a pleasant movie.”

The shooting of ‘Brindavanam’ involving NTR, Samantha and few other artists is currently happening at Vikarabad forests. This is to be followed by a family song from tomorrow involving the entire cast including Kota Srinivasa Rao, who is also playing an important role in this film. But now it has been postponed due to the death of his son Kota Prasad. As per the schedule time, the unit has to complete the entire shooting except a song by July 10th. So there could be some delay in the film’s release as well, which is otherwise expected in August. ‘Brindavanam’ is taking shape under Vamsi Paidipalli’s direction and Dil Raju’s production.

Siddharth’s ‘Bava’ will be in Annavaram from June 23rd onwards. This is a cute love story on village backdrop blend with the bonding of father and son has a new face Praneetha as a female lead and Rajendra Prasad as father. Debut director Ram Babu says that Rajendra Prasad’s role will leave an impression that every house should have a father like him. Chakri scores the music and cinematography is by Aravind Krishna. ML Padma Kumar Chowdary is the producer.

Jummandhi naadam slated to release july 1st

New Movie tilted ‘Jil Jil Jiga’ is going to hit floors on June 22nd in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada languages simultaneously. This is a romantic entertainer to be directed and produced by Manohar Chimmani under Jamanu Time Movie Mission banner. So far the songs recording have been completed. There are altogether six songs. The unit is going to be busy in July to shoot the film on a single schedule at places like Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mysore, Chennai and Pondicherry. While Prajwal and Noyal Sen plays the lead pair, other prominent actors are Pushpi, Gautham, Harshita, Rishita and Aarshiya. The co-producers are Maram Aruna and Puli Srinivas.

Karunakaran is known for his soft romantic entertainers like Toliprema, Ullasanga Utsahang and Darling. This time, the director has prepared a script that has more mass and action elements. Hence he is considering Edure Ledu as the title for his next film. Hero Ram is likely to play the lead role. Currently negations are going on. On the other hand, Ram’s two new movies are in still confusion. His film with director Surender Reddy (Oosaravelli is the title) is yet to go to the sets. The film is facing budget problems. Another film with Krishnavamsi also is still in planning stage. So, Karunakaran film might go to the sets first.

Balakrishna’s ‘Parama Veera Chakra’ movie directed by Dasari Narayana Rao, has been launched on his 50th birthday today at Kotla Vijay Bhaskar Reddy Stadium in Hyderabad. C Kalyan is producing this film under Teja cinema banner, while Valluripalli Ramesh is presenting the film. Telugu Desam Party Chief N Chandra Babu Naidu has given the clap, while Dasari Padma, wife of Dasari Narayana Rao, switched on the camera.
Director Dasari Narayana Rao said, “It’s great to see Balakrishna dancing at this age. I’ll not talk much about this film, but I want the film to do the talking”.
Nandamuri Balakrishna said, “This is not looking like ‘Parama Veera Chakra’ movie launch, but I feel like ‘Parama Veera Chakra’ jubilee function. Director Dasari Narayana Rao has been one of Telugu film industry’s top people and we were planning to do this film since quite some time. He did blockbuster

films with my father (Sr. NTR) like ‘Manushulantha Okkatey’, ‘Sardaar Paaparayudu’, ‘Bobbili Puli’, etc. and I’m happy to do Parama Veera Chakra on my 50th Birthday and as Dasari Narayana Ra’s 150th film”.
